As part of our ‘New Life’ topic in Nursery we have been looking at and learning about different flowers. We looked at artwork by the famous artist Vincent Van Gogh. We loved the colours in his painting ‘Irises’ and replicated the painting using different techniques. We used thick paintbrushes for the bold green stems and leaves and then used celery to create a beautiful flower print using blues and purples. The children really enjoyed using the celery to print with and were so thrilled with the final results.
