Describing Movement

Our topic in Maths is ‘Position and Direction’. We first warmed up by playing ‘Miss Ho says’ and children carefully listened and followed instructions to move in different directions. Miss Ho made it challenging as children had to be quick in following the instruction and the last person standing was the winner. We then worked in pairs and took turns to give instructions for our partner to get from one place to another. We used mathematical language to describe the movements such as forwards, backwards, left and right, together with the number of steps.
