After planning our community action project as part of the Archbishop of York’s Young Leaders Award, on Monday we took part in a local area litter pick. We filled at least ten bags of rubbish within a ten minute radius of our school and placed posters that we had made to discourage littering on lampposts for the public to see. It was fantastic to see our children so committed to improving their local area, and many local residents made positive comments to teachers and children as we were litter picking.
