It was great to see so many parents pluck up the courage to compete in the parental egg and spoon event also. Although, those races were a bit scrambled at the end….
Following sports day, our children competed in their intrahouse events on Wednesday. They were able to enjoy a variety of sports and activities ranging from tennis to basketball beat box. In the afternoon, children studied major events that are to take place in the sporting world this summer and into the autumn term; the women’s football World Cup, the rugby World Cup and the Tour de France. In all this was another great day of sport in school, one of many throughout this year as children have competed in local and national events, along with after school provisions and more. Sport has been well embedded in school and moving forwards I hope it will remain a strength. St. Aidan’s children show absolute commitment and true resilience when they engage in this part of their curriculum. Well done guys!
