Continuing on with our science topic we have had the chance to research a real sheep heart. We were able to identify the various valves in the heart as well as the veins and ventricles and dissect the organ. It gave us a brilliant insight in to what our heart looks like and the children all acted with maturity and embraced the learning.
The next lesson has been about how our hearts are affected by exercise. We found our pulses and measure our resting heart rates. Then after exercise we measured them again. We were able to identify that our heart rate increased after exercise.
