In D&T this half term our topic is about Victorian Carousels. After researching the origin and the inventor, we used CAD (Computer Aided Design) to produce the base of the carousel using a net and creating it into a 3D design.
The next task was to begin to create the carousel with the appropriate materials. As you can see we had a very successful afternoon building out structures. The final step will be to add the mechanisms to make it rotate. Keep a close on on our website in the next couple of weeks for the final piece.
