St Aidan’s had an amazing opportunity to visit Holy Island this week. Year 5 thoroughly enjoyed their visit, they have learnt about St Aidan and why our school is named after him. We participated in a picture trail around the island where we had to locate a variety of objects captured from the island. Year 5 also visited the beach where they were searching for sea creatures and shells. The views from the lookout tower were beautiful and year 5 had many great questions regarding the island which we discussed throughout the day.
