On Thursday, Year 3 investigated how things move differently on different surfaces. They conducted an investigation in which they measured the distance that a toy car travelled on four different surfaces around school; the MUGA, the yard, the hall and the carpet of the classroom. Before they started the investigation they made a prediction about what they thought would happen. They then used their scientific measuring skills to record their data before making a conclusion back in the classroom. They found that the car travelled the furthest on the hall floor because it is the smoothest surface.
