Treble Clef

Over the last couple of week’s during Music, Year 3 have been recognising different notes and how many beats each note have. We have learnt that there are 4 beats in each bar. The children have clapped the rhythm of each note as some children held up the note cards at the front of the classroom.  They were then given the task of creating their own rhythm which included crotchets, minims, dotted minims, and rests. The children have also worked in pairs to create their own rhythms using the different beats. We then created one as a class and clapped the rhythm. The children then used glockenspiels to find the ‘G’ note, where they played the notes from the treble clef.
