This week in Year 2, the children have been incredibly busy each afternoon taking part in their foundation subjects.
In PE, the children have had lots of fun and have built up their team work skills by playing playground games together. In History this half term, the children are focusing on; ‘The Bensham Tram Crash’. As a starting point, earlier this week the children walked to where the tram crash happened, which was at the beginning of Saltwell Road/towards the bottom of Bensham Bank. Over the next few weeks they will be developing their History skills by learning more about the crash, involving the events that ran up to the crash happening and what the aftermath was like.
