In Design Technology this half term, our topic is ‘Healthy Eating’.
In their lesson last Friday, the children looked at the journey of a banana. They learnt where bananas are grown in the world and why they are not grown in the Untied Kingdom. They then watched a video about how bananas are grown and their journey from being grown to ending up in the supermarket to buy. They then created a story board to show the journey.
Over the next few weeks, the children will follow a recipe and use the correct utensils and ingredients to make some healthy food, before evaluating their cooking skills.
