Each week we begin our music lessons by appraising two pieces of music. One chosen by Stuart and one chosen by Mrs Lishman. We listen to the two pieces and discuss the instruments, the vocals and what period they are from. We then vote which piece of music is our favourite. This week Stuart won with a classical piece by Edvard Grieg.
We then recapped the different notes we know and learnt some new ones including a semi-breve, a quaver and a semi-quaver. We were given notes by Stuart and used them to create a rhythm in groups. We performed these to the class. At the end of the lesson, we played our favourite game; don’t clap the rhythm back.
