What another busy week we have had in Year 2!
In Phonics, we have been revising our phase 3 sounds. First, we reviewed our sounds, then reviewed the words. We then looked at a sentence together, then wrote it on our whiteboards independently.
In Maths, we have been focusing on part whole models. We have shown how to represent numbers in numerals and base ten. We then used our part whole models to create numbers in different ways.
In Art this half term, we are focusing on the artist Henri Rousseau. We looked at his painting ‘Surprised’ and discussed why the tiger looks surprised in the picture. We then annotated around the picture describing what we could see.
