Year 1 had a lovely productive trip to the allotment to see Suzanne. The children had a lot of fun and worked really hard at doing all the jobs that need to be done in Autumn. Suzanne explained how they should work safely and also the dangers while working on the allotment. The children had a variety of jobs to complete including separating the heads of lavender from the stalks so that they could make lavender pillows, digging for mini beasts and chopping up weeds to make compost for next year. They found lots of worms which shows that the soil was very healthy.
