In our maths topic this half term we are continuing to learn how to use the column method to solve addition and subtraction, calculations with 3 and 2 digit numbers. We have been progressing well and understand why and when we need to exchange from and to other place value columns. As many of us are now confident in our understanding, Mrs Bullerwell asked us to be the teachers. We were all able to explain the method to the rest of the class, using the correct vocabulary and stem sentences. The way in which we helped the other children and explained so clearly enabled us to learn from our peers as well as from Mrs Bullerwell. Look out teachers, we have wonderful future teacher with huge potential who may be competition for your job.
