Last week, Year 6 took part in a workshop with a chef from Cooking 4 Life. We found out about the importance of healthy eating and exercise to lead a long and healthy life. After taking part in a fitness challenge, some of us were given the opportunity to help Chef prepare a tasty spaghetti bolognese full of nutritious vegetables. Meanwhile, we learnt about calories and the impact that eating too many calories can have on our bodies. We looked closely at the Eatwell balanced plate, revisiting our learning in Science about the different food groups and why they are needed.
