Today we took part in our Christmas Prayer Space. We visited different places around the school, including the Outdoor Learning area and Chapel to think about the Christmas story and reflect on this special time of year when Christians celebrate the birth of Jesus. We began by visiting the Chapel, and thinking about how the star was a sign to the Wise Men that Jesus, the Messiah, had been born. We thought about what we need support with in our lives, and wrote on stars to ask God to support us in this. Then we thought about what we are thankful for, and used Playdough to represent this. Many of us chose to make our families and friends, and heart shapes to represent love. In the Outdoor Learning area, we thought about how Jesus was a sign of hope for Mary and the Jewish community and made a paper chain with our hopes and dreams for the future written on it. We also thought about forgiveness, and thought about what we are sorry for in our lives by writing the word ‘sorry’ in the sand.
