Today Nursery had a visit from Joanne from Gateshead Library as part of our ‘Book Week’ in school. Parents were invited to join us as we shared some new stories together. The stories were very funny and we loved helping Joanne sing along to ‘Whales on the Bus’. We enjoyed singing some songs together as well and then enjoyed making the octopus from the story we heard. Joanne stressed the importance of sharing stories together. We love visiting our school library every week to choose a new book to borrow. Hopefully lots of us will go and visit one of our local libraries, such as Gateshead where Joanne works, to choose many more books that we can enjoy with our families.
