World Book Day comes around so quickly every year and it’s a day that all the children love. It is always wonderful seeing then dressed up as various characters, and this year was certainly no exception. One child, who was unable to attend school on WBD still wanted to be involved and created his own Stick Man to share with everyone. As you can see from the picture, so much care attention, detail and effort is shown in his completed creation.
At the start of the day we were able to visit the children in Nursery. We read stories to them and enjoyed talking to them about what they were dressed as. After that we had the opportunity to tell our friends in class what we were dressed as and why we get dressed up as the character. Some of us were even able to guess the characters!
In the afternoon, we had our weekly visit to our fabulous school library to choose our new book, then we all got into character to get our class photograph taken. As you can see the children really got into their characters! Lastly, to end a fabulous day we invited our parents in to our class to listen to our reading. I’m sure they are all extremely impressed. I know I was. Well done Year 3.
