Year 1 have participated in lots of different activities today with the aim of collecting house points for their team. We started the day off by discussing what it means to be a team and the values needed to be a successful team. We identified we needed to be supportive, to have good communication skills, to value and encourage one another and to have respect for everyone.
The children showed all of these values across the day showing an excellent level of sportsmanship. They offered supportive encouragement to their team during different activities and ensured everyone was involved.
We took on the challenge of a mile walk around the local area before participating in an obstacle course challenge. After lunch we learned about the Sprinter Usain Bolt and tried our hardest to run just as fast as him.
