In Geography this half term, we are learning about the United Kingdom. Last week, we enjoyed using an atlas to locate the capital cities, counties and surrounding seas of the United Kingdom. We discussed and found cities which we ourselves have visited and shared with others what human and physical features they had close by. We listed these places and were challenged to find which counties these cities were found in.
Then we used population data to answer questions about the regions of the United Kingdom, and discussed why London (the area smallest in size) had the second highest population of the regions of the UK.
