As part of Safety Week, today we were given the opportunity to take part in a first aid workshop. In the session, we learnt how to check if someone is breathing, what to do if they’re not and how to help them if they are breathing but hurt. We learnt how to perform CPR while we wait for an ambulance to arrive if someone isn’t breathing and what to say on the phone if we needed to ring 999. We also learnt how to check if someone is bleeding and how to apply a cold compress to help bumps and bruises. Learning these skills has made us feel much more confident in helping those in need.
