Our topic in RE this half term is ‘The Church’, whilst answering the question; ‘Why is the Church a special place for Christians?’.
In our lesson yesterday, we talked about what the words ‘special place’ means to us. Some of our comments included:
‘A place full of colour’
‘When I go to Church’
‘A quiet place’
‘A place where I visit to be creative’
We then discussed different places that could be special to some people. Some places included; places of worship, our home, and the park. We then sat in a circle and individually said what place is special to us and why. Some of our special places included; our bedroom, the beach and the garden. We then talked about what memories we have in our special places and if we share our special places with anyone else.
