This week in Nursery we have read the story ‘Goldilocks and The Three Bears’.
In and around the classroom we have took part in lots of activities based on the theme of the story.
Instead of water in our water area, we played with porridge oats. We enjoyed filling and emptying with funnels, nets and jugs and sprinkling the oats like rain.
In the sand area, we had Mammy Bear, Daddy Bear and Baby Bear’s bowls and spoons to play with. We made the three bears bowls of delicious, hot porridge!
In the tuft tray, we found the numbers 1, 2 and 3 in different formats under porridge oats.
In our Squiggle lessons, we practised circle, up and down and corkscrew movements to draw characters from the traditional tale stories we have read this half term. We also used these movements to draw pictures of the bears in the writing area.
