This half term, we are learning about the different climate zones around the world.
Having located the different climate zones on a world map, last week the children discovered what the weather conditions were like in a tropical and temperate climate zone. The children looked at two cities; Manaus in Brazil and London in England. The children studied precipitation and temperate data to help discover what the weather is like.
This week, the children used photographs as a sources of evidence to discover what life is like living in these two climate zones.
The children discussed the sources of information in pairs and then in small groups.
We discussed rules for effective speaking and listening and used sentence stems to support our discussion.
