On Friday 14th February it was Year 5’s turn to lead the school assembly. As it was Valentine’s Day, the theme to choose was easy! We worked together to create a fantastic assembly about love. We taught the school the story of St Valentine, with wonderful clear speaking and fantastic acting. We also shared the important message that God loves us all. We decided to do this with an upbeat Christian song and actions to make it even more entertaining. Finally, we discovered that the Greek have four words for various types of love, as love for your family is a very different love to your love of ice cream. We hope we all started your Valentine’s Day with love and joy. We most certainly enjoyed presenting it to you all.
