In their Art lesson last Friday afternoon, the children in Year 1 focused on The Colour Wheel as part of their Art topic; Weather.
The children learnt that there are 2 different types of colours on the wheel; primary and secondary colours. Primary colours are; red, yellow and blue. Secondary colours are; orange, green and purple. We found out that mixing primary colours red and yellow make the colour orange, red and blue make the colour purple and yellow and blue make the colour green.
The children had lots of fun mixing the colours and painting their very own colour wheel.
