Now we are into week 2, it feels like we have never been away for the 6 weeks. We are straight back into our learning. In our Science lesson this week, we have completed a practical activity where we have made a blood model using various everyday items. Yellow dyed water representing plasma. Cheerios dyed red – red blood cells. White marshmallows – white blood cells and pom poms which were the platelets in our blood. This enabled us all to visualise the proportions and functions of the different components of blood, as well as having a fun lesson.
