A Taste of the World

In understanding the world, Reception continues to explore people and communities. They explored similarities and differences between themselves and others, and among families, communities, cultures and traditions. Reception learnt food is an important part of any culture. Food operates as an expression of cultural identity. People bring the food of their countries with them wherever they go and cooking traditional food is a way of preserving an individual’s culture. Reception tried a selection of food from around the world. Our tongues went on an adventure to Italy, Mexico, India and Indonesia.
