Today in Year 6, we commemorated Holocaust Memorial Day, remembering all those who suffered discrimination and prejudice at the hands of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party during the Second World War. We reflected on the fact that millions of Jewish people sadly lost their lives because of their religious beliefs, and prayed that such an atrocity will never happen again. We took part in a live Zoom call with a Holocaust survivor named Mala Trebich. We listened to her harrowing story, and found inspiration in her actions as she shared that despite the shocking conditions of the concentration camp in which she was living, she never lost hope that they would be liberated.
