This week we have been celebrating World Book Week in school. On Tuesday, we visited Dunston library where we looked at how the books were organised and then had the opportunity to choose a book to take back to school with us. Today, we came to school dressed as a character from a book. There was lots of different characters: footballers, princesses, Matilda, The Cat in the Hat, Stitch, Harry Potter and many more. Everyone put in so much effort and looked amazing!! We started off our day by visiting the children in nursery. We chose a book to read with a buddy and then found a quiet spot in their classroom to read together. Throughout the day, we have completed lots of World book day activities. We even spent some time becoming authors ourselves, writing as creatively as we could.
