Year 4 had a wonderful day at Jarrow Hall, an Anglo-Saxon Farm and Village.
The children were involved in a fully immersive experience with a variety of fun learning activities that allowed them to explore a working Anglo Saxon style farm, identify the different uses of animals and animal products in farming, food, textiles and culture, compare and contrast historic and modern farming practices, understand how the Anglo-Saxons lived and what their houses were like and finally to learn about Anglo-Saxon warfare and battles.
It was a jam packed, fun day filled with lots of information, things to see and explore and lots of activities to allow us to experience life as an Anglo-Saxon first hand.
