This half term in Design Technology Year 3 have been designing and making their own money pouches. We started off by looking at a range of purses and wallets and considered what materials they were made from and what we liked and didn’t like about them. We then drew annotated diagrams of our own designs thinking carefully about colours, materials and the size of our money pouches.
After practicing our running stitch, we worked in small groups to sew our felt together before adding a button and a design on the back.
