In Maths this week, Year 2 have been learning about two-digit numbers up to 100. The children have been partitioning numbers to identify the number of tens and ones within each number. Using Dienes blocks, they have been making a variety of two-digit numbers and discussing what each digit represents. Developing a secure understanding of place value now will support the children greatly throughout Year 2 and as they continue their mathematical journey through school.
