The Coronation Celebrations at St Aidan’s

In the last year we have had a celebration for The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, mourned her death and now The Coronation of King Charles III. This is a first, in all of the teachers’ lifetime as well as the children’s. To mark the occasion we began the day together as a school, in an assembly thinking about the meaning of the event and the religious ceremony attached. Then throughout the day the children were able to take part in various craft activities including making crowns fit for a king, orbs, celebration poppers, medals, and portraits as well as examine the Royal family tree.

We all wish King Charles III a successful and long reign. God save the King!
