Making fossils

As part of our Science topic ‘Women in Science’, we have been learning about Mary Anning. She was a female palaeontologist and she studied about fossils. In our Science lesson, we made our own replica fossils. We used salt, flour, coffee and water to create a dough which we kneaded. We then used the natural objects we have found to create imprints in the dough just like the imprint of a fossil.
