Chapel – Pause for Thought

This morning, it was Year 3’s turn to attend our school chapel for Pause for Thought.

This week’s theme is, ‘Valuing others as we would like to be valued’, with the Bible quotation linked to Matthew 7:12 reading “Do to others as you would have them do to you”.

We answered the question, ‘How do you follow the golden rule – can you give an example?’ Some of the children’s comments included; ‘My Mum helped a neighbour to cook some food they didn’t know how to cook, now my Mum knows the exact recipe!’, ‘I helped someone find a piece of a game they were playing, in order for them to finish the game’ and ‘I let someone join in playing with me’. We all agreed that doing nice things for someone else doesn’t just make you kind and considerate, but it also makes you feel good inside.
