In Art this half term, Year 3 have been looking at the Scottish artist Steven Brown.
The children researched him and explored some of his art. Last week, they created a collage McCoo and this week was their final piece. The children started by looking at his art and picking the one they would like to recreate, carefully studying the background of that picture before creating a wash background inspired by that piece. The children used various skills such as careful colour selection, brushing and blending techniques to get the desired effect for the background. Next week they will sketch the animal and then use paints to paint it.
