Every Monday after school from now until Christmas, some children from Year 3 and 4 will be taking part in Cooking After School Club. Yesterday for our first week, we made pizzas!
Mrs Lishman, Mrs Housten-Stewart and Mrs Newton first explained to the children about health and safety hazards when cooking and the cleanliness of hands. Once the children washed their hands, we were ready to begin!
First, we gently used a knife and spread tomato puree over our base. We then chopped up the onions, mushrooms and peppers. We also made sure our vegetables were washed clean. Other toppings we had ready were sweetcorn, ham, pepperoni and grated mozzarella cheese. We then topped our pizzas with our favourite toppings!
When our pizzas were ready for the oven, a teacher popped them into the oven for 12-15 minutes until they were perfectly cooked!
Once cooked, they were ready to eat! They were yummy!
Next Monday, we will be baking Blueberry and Chocolate Chip muffins.
