Over the past six weeks, 21 children from KS2 have worked incredibly hard in their after school club to create an exciting gymnastics floor routine. The children have worked on improving their rolls, cartwheels and flexibility as well as perfecting their timing, team work and performance skills.
Last week, the group finally got to show off their wonderful routine and proudly represent St Aidan’s at the #INSPIRE Gateshead Schools Gymnastics and Cheerleading Festival held at Gateshead Leisure Centre. The event was very inspiring for our children who not only had the opportunity to perform, but also to spectate and support 15 other schools from the local area who had equally worked very hard on their routine. Before we knew it, it was our turn to shine on the stage. The children got up and performed with so much confidence, showing off their talented skills and hard work from over the past few weeks. They truly made us very proud!
