A group of children from years 5/6 had the opportunity to take part in a showing potential event last week ran by Gateshead SSP. The event was focused on giving children the science behind sport. They attended classes based on nutrition, psychology of athletes, physical development, training and more. The were even taught by Olympic athlete Peter Bakare (Olympic team GB volleyballer) his knowledge of success in sport was just as amazing as his incredible height. The event was fantastic and our selected children got a lot out of the day.
