Rivers

In Geography this half term, we are learning about Rivers.

Last week, we answered the question; ‘Where are the world’s major rivers?’ We used atlases and google earth to find these rivers and learnt that lots of these major rivers are found in the continent of Asia. Others that we looked into were found in Africa and North and South America. We found out that the River Nile is a huge 6,650km long!

This week, we learnt the features of a river and how a river is formed.

The children have also enjoyed reading the topic books about rivers that are on display in class this half term.
